South East Mini Owners Club (SEMOC) was formed in 2004, by a few friends, who wanted a more relaxed club to join. With this in mind SEMOC was formed with no politics, committee or unwanted hassle, after all once a hobby becomes stressful, it’s no longer an enjoyable hobby.
Whilst we are a mini club, you may see many of us around in non-minis, as we all know how unreliable minis can be, and sometimes they’re just not practical. That’s why when we organise local drives around the countryside, we don’t mind what you drive, all we want is for everyone to enjoy themselves and have a laugh.
Unlike many other clubs were not just into minis, we tend to do a whole range of activities together outside of the mini scene.
So then what are we really like?
Well to be brutally honest sarcastic, dry sense of humour and filthy minded would be the truthful answer and sums up most of our members. After all we wouldn't want you to think were something were not, at least this way you know what to expect should you bump into us or join us at a show or a social.
How is the club organised?
In a nutshell its not, were just a group of friends who share some of the same interests. Several of our members use their spare time to organise club stands and convoys etc for us to attend, but anyone is able to organise anything, if people like it they will attend if not you'll be there on your own.
Do we organise any events like some of the larger clubs?
At the moment No. We do organise drive outs including a pub stop for lunch and our famous London night run. The London night run, takes place twice a year once in the summer and once around Christmas time, and to date has been a huge success, and seems to have more and more people turning up each time.
So who can join?
Anyone, but please be aware of the above, and make sure you can give as good as you take, as your always find us joking and messing around with each other, none of it serious though.
